Works for Me Wednesday

Have you ever been to Target or the grocery store, done all of your shopping, gone through the checkout, only to discover that you are out of checks?

Here is what I do. Get a highlighter and highlight on the bottom of the last 5 checks in your checkbook. Highlight on the routing number or the bank account number. This way, when you get to the highlighted checks you know you need to replenish your supply.

It works for me! Check out all the other tips at Rocks in My Dryer.

OMgoodness! I LOVE this idea!! I'll do it right now! Got any ideas on how to remember to do it every time I pull out a new thing of checks to put in the check holder?! *wink*

I need to do this for the first five checks in the last little pack in the box. And put a sticky note on the fifth to last check in the pack that says "Did you reorder your checks?" I could have avoided this whole I-ran-out-of-checks-and-can't-pay-bills fiasco we're living in right now. Why don't all utility companies let you pay on the phone?

GREAT IDEA! I don't write checks anymore (don't ask), but I bet I can adapt this to other things - business cards? Printer Paper? Great idea.

Mine isn't as practical, but come on over for a visit!
